To Vividcon or not to Vividcon, that is the question...

In this case, not to Vividcon. After a lot of soul searching and cheap-flight searching I decided to roll-over my registration to next year. Main reason really is finances, because flights to the US are fricking expensive at the moment, and if I was a sensible person I should be spending that money on doing up house & garden rather than a con on the other side of the ocean.
Also, (the sensible side of my brain says) I had VVC last year and VidUKon this year, so it makes sense to roll-over to next year and then in 2013 there'll be another VidUKon. If it wasn't for the people aspect of the con I actually be really cool with the decision, but missing out on re-connecting with friends & acquaintances and meeting new folks sucks. Shouldn't being sensible feel better?!?

Looking forward to hearing of other people's con experiences, though!
