Flight prices are going to be the biggest expense. I paid £830 for a direct flight from Manchester, there would have been some slightly cheaper options if I'd opted for a connecting flight, but then you're travel time goes up. You need to check prices from Italy.
I would not wory about the vid. I didn't have one first time I went, and depending how anxious you feel about showing your stuff not having a vid at Premieres might be good thing, because then you can enjoy the whole experience more.
